The William Hackett Mounted Harrow is designed and manufactured in the UK.
The original 'Hackett Harrow' was originally designed to work behind horses and it remains that harrowing is best done at the average working speed of a horse, 6km/h walking pace, for most effective harrowing.
The chain harrow is mounted into a self-assembled frame, which can be folded manually or alternatively by using a hydraulic folding kit.
Mounted harrows are ideal for any pasture management programme, including removing dead thatch, lifting vegetation and levelling mole hills.

Frame mounted harrows are designed to pull the harrows at the correct angle so the ground is completely covered.
Ideal for rejuvenating grass pasture land, chain harrows break-up and level heavy soils, remove dead grass, aerate roots for improved water infiltration, and remove lightly rooted weeds - all supporting fresh and healthy new growth.
Heavy grass harrow - ideal for mature grass pastures, ripping out moss and spreading manure.
Chain and Spike harrow - equally adapted for use on mature pastures and particularly efficient at levelling mole hills.
TINES: heavy grass or chain and spike chain harrow available.
CONSTRUCTION: all frames are constructed from 60mm x 60mm RHS (Rectangle Hollow Section) with additional gusset plates welded at the corners for strength and rigidity.
ATTACHMENTS: chain links are welded along front and rear bars to accomodate our complete range of harrow sections.
FOLDING WINGS: frames of 3m (10’-0”) and over have folding wings to allow easy access through gateways and along roads.
HYDRAULIC OPERATION: a hydraulic folding kit is available as an optional extra.
INSTALLATION: supplied flat pack for self assembly, including comprehensive instructions - see installation video.
PADDOCK: smaller mounted harrow frames are available in the Paddock Harrow range.
