Chain swivels are designed for use within stud link anchor chain assemblies, to connect to associated fittings such as a swivel forerunner, to connect the stud link anchor chain to an anchor or within a navigation buoy mooring bridle system.
All sizes of U2 and U3 shackles are heat treated and proof load tested at the end of the manufacturing process.
Index-sized to be compatible with each size of stud link anchor chain. The size, material and heat treatment should be the same as that of the stud link anchor chain that they are fitted to.
Manufactured from heavy duty forged steel.

William Hackett Chain swivels are associated fittings for use within stud link anchor chain assemblies, such as a swivel forerunner, for connecting the stud link anchor chain to an anchor or within a navigation buoy mooring bridle system.
There are various designs of swivel available and the user should ensure that the one chosen will accept the correct size shackle or shackle pin. This chain swivel can be fully incorporated into the William Hackett all-welded assembly, manufactured in-house, in the UK.
Size range: 22mm – 40mm dia. Larger sizes available on request.
Finish: black bitumen coating. Hot dip galvanized finish available on request.
Test: generally with Mill Cert - (L.R. classification other third party classification available upon request).
Markings: each swivel is marked with a unique identification number for purposes of traceability.
